Tried that already - none of my local phone shops will touch it - it's a PDA and a phone

threadjack:

how the hell do you transfer the photos off of a Siemens C65 without a USB cable or an infrared port?

u cant tahrey- well actually you could send them to someone without a media phone and their sp will put it on their online account, then you just go to that and get them off there, but it will cost you mroe to send the pics thant it would to get a cable off the tinterweb

buggery

....would i be able to send them to a palm pilot via the IR (and then hotsync em to PC), or does it require particular software? i know it can send addresses and appointments that way.

just a bit cheesed because all the ebay cables are like "only £4.99!" ...plus fifteen quid shipping from hong kong, i cant find an infrared dongly for less than twenty pounds, and mums works laptop --- all laptops these days have infrared built in, right, instead of a more expensive serial port, yeah? --- doesnt have the required shiny black panel or LED that gives out invisible light. Sunuva....

thanks anyway

p'raps i can do some kind of advanced alchemy by going to the orange shop with phone and digital camera memory card in hand, and using their photo printing device for purposes wot it was never intended. i'm mainly asking cuz im taking the stupid thing back asap anyway - having bought it to replace a noky 6100 that kept turning itself off at random, i could do without buying a new eighty quid device that does exactly the same bloody thing but with half the battery life!

plus ive got a few pics for the "was that you" section - bournemouth is heaving with quality dubmetal. including a mint W-reg mk1 that looked to be simply a cheap daily driver.
