Hiya,

I need a picture of your 1.4 Mk5's with Induction kits. Basically i've got the opportunity to buy a Pipercross induction for my 1.4 16v (I think) but when we tried to fit it it wouldn't go on because of the big plastic engine cover.

Any help with this much appreciated.

Thanks

Tom

I have one (Pipercross) 1.4 16v !

I had to take the old air box out , the cover for the engine is however still there , but then again , the induction was for a mk4 - just a slight change made it fit the mk5 :)

Ill try get a picture l8r :)..

Cheers would really appreciate that.

When we tried to fit the Pipercross (PK049), the only way we could do it was to remove the engine cover, but if this would have gone there would be no clips for the HD leads, which would fall onto the heatshield and probably melt.:(

Thanks a lot for that mate. Just what I was after. Looks like you had the exact same problem i'm currently having. My engine bay looks just like yours but it is a 1.4, and I am trying to fit this induction kit:

So i'm thinking i'm just gonna cut the engine cover in half, so the clips are still there for the cables.
