Mk2f squareback lowered suspension?

Hi folks, my polo has 14" wheels with 165/60 tyres and has rolled rear arches with no scrubbing at present. I want to lower it 40mm with a FK springs and shocks kit. I dont think it will start scrubbing again 
but wanted to know if any one has had problems lowering there squareback or whether they think my idea will work?
