swirl marks

how do i get rid of swirl marks and those silly shiney scratches?

Give you car a good wash then apply either t-cut to the whole car or have someone mop it for u this can be done a any valeters.
By the way its car wash's that leave the marks on ur car!

does t cut work on plastic? or is it just the metal body?

it'll work if it's painted plastic, but don't rub too hard

Anyone recommend an off the shelve product to get rid of those nasty swirl marks! ggrrrr!!

T-Cut
is an off-the-shelf product
you should be able to find it in Halfords/Motormania/wherever IIRC.
