How is it done?

i have a pull mechanism solenoid but with the boot open the jock release arm pulls downwards and to put the solenoid there i would need more room to fit it, there just isnt enough room.

1 idea that comes to mind is to use a central locking solenoid and wire it to work in unlock mode this should push the lock bar down and allow you to mount it above the original mechanism
