Help Needed Fitting MK5 Lights to MK4

hi there i have recently purchased some mk5 rear lights to fit on my mk4, i have seen quite a few have you have fitted them. I want to get them so they fit flush anyone know where i should file the light down to get them to fit flush

you need to drill a hole into the bodywork of the car so that one of the lugs fits through it (the middle one) (a 12mm hole will do) then you also need to file the edge of the light.
on top of that, you need to gert mk5 bulb holders, and wire the lights up differently - but it's not a difficult job.
you will need to sand them (get a file it's quicker) around the bottom edge and on some of the top corner that goes on the inside of the car. just keep trying.

Ther is another solution:
If you had "bulb holder", you can connect it to original connector - Only modificatin you need to make is to switch "stop-light" and "blinker" wire...

horse - isn't that what the other DIY post says? or am i being stupid? you need mk5 bulb holders and the original connector fits...

Hi,
I've been thinking of getting some mk5 lights but i need some part numbers. Because asking for the lights and bulbholders they might get it wrong with the translation ( im in Portugal) and end up getting the wrong parts.
So, any part numbers? And any idea of the prices?
