Hi guys, I've been trying to sell a 1.6 GLX for over a month now, details of the car are in the for sale section:
http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... highlight=
Price is now £2895, is this a reasonable amount for this car with all the extra's it has? I know its a bad time of year to sell a car, but I thought someone would have snapped it up by now because of its basically unique spec.
What kind of money would you put it up for if it was your car? It really doesnt need much doing to it at all, and has a pioneer 6300 headunit and 6 cd changer in the boot. I thought with leaving the stereo in more people would be interested!
Any advice or opinions appreciated.

I think it's the reg and miles that's the key here, not the spec.
GLX, although it's more desirable, shouldn't really fetch that much more - but it should sell quicker. Have you got it in the Trader?
Mine's worth 3.5k to 4k max and it's got 35k and is a v plate - a 1.4 16v with most of the options. So if mine had 86k and was another 4 years older it's be worth about 2.5k max I'd recon.....
My bird has a P plater 1.4 CL with 60k and I would expect no more than 2 to 2.5k.... I think it's up for too much

I think you've hit the nail on the head and saved me trying to do a tactfull and diplomatic post
I can't argue with the spec of the car - superb and makes my mouth water - leather, AC, 1.6 lump superb but the rub is it's a P plate and most people will compare P with P price wise......
I don't want to be contentious here but I think the likelyhood of selling it on UK Polo's or Porka is remote as most people already have a polo already hence why they "joined" up
Exchange and Mart used to do a "hold till Sold" £50 from memory and it would be advertised every week for 6 months and every other forever till it was sold - thats what I be doing advertising wise if they still do that....
Someone will be prepared to pay a premium for the car I just don't know what that premium is - maybe £250-350 over another P plate 1.6 GLX without all the toys - I'm struggling to think if I would and I think I would probably not

I'd pay a premium for it, I did the same when I bought my car. It too had all the options, bar leather, and it went for a hefty premium...
If you can, hold out for the right buyer, you only need one. One slightly mad buyer, but still. Keep the faith.
