on a tight budget what would you all do to 1.4cl polo? ideas...

Drop it 60mm, change the wheels, fit clear front indicators, side repeaters and factory smoked or mk5 rear lights. Lose the '1.4cl' badge as well. Oh and fit a front arb; you won't belive the difference till you've done it.

Yep. Lower it (less than £100) clean up the looks with clear or smoked indicators and sidelights (depends on car colour as to whether they're clear or smoked - £40 tops) and remove 1.4 badging
Wheels if you have the money - you could always get some 5-spoker 14s like the 16v had?

De-badge tailgate (Free!)
De-bump Strip (Also Free!)
Clear side repeaters
Depends on Colour Black VW Badge on tailgate
Black VW badge in the grill
Sunglasses Holder
Golf Gearknob and gaiter
Clear front indicators
Toerag Non Smoker Pack
Zender tailgate spoiler (colour coded)
MKV rear lights and bulb holders
40-50 mm lowering springs
Anti Roll Bar for the front
15 inch alloys & 195/45 tyres
That'll do for starters and I've done all but the second one

the 1.4s dont have a front ARB as standard? roll city in that case???
even me 1.0 mk3 has one (i could swear it anyway)....
