I just thought i'd share something with you

I've just read that the HPA R32 has won a competition at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Sony ran a 'Car Of The Show Competition' and the prize for winning? His car is immortalised in the game!

So when the EU version of GT4 hits the shores it will have a silver twin turbo R32 with 550hp - so thats at least one decent car in the game!

how cool would that be though? having your car in a computer game...

I know the LC is used in one recent PS2 computer game - although the software programmers seem to be of the opinion that its front wheel drive!!!!!

dont most saxo drivers do that anyway? pimp my ride has a lot to answer for :D

yeah it would be cool to have my car in a game. snailrace technical challenge lake district b-road sub-mode :) :) (none of this Gran Turismo "super wide road thru the forest with enormous run off areas" nonsense - dry stone walls, ditches, hedges, and occasional single track with passing places sections)

oh and a rwd LC of course

nfs pursuit had a decent take on that sort of thing - being able to load in your own car models, skins and characteristics, though of course this was a little too open to "maxed stats" abuse and people making dumb stuff like blown-up-to-full-size solid wooden models ;)

lol in need for speed 2 on the pc i had a skyline skin that i changed the engine attributes to make it hit 800 mph hhaha

i wish i could play need for speed 2 and 3 on my pc but they wont work, need win 98 and not an nt system like my win xp

i did always dream of racing up my road in need for speed, that would be mint - say my journey from town to here

nowadays i seem to dream about visiting counterstrike maps such as de_dust2 and cs_italy

hahaha

ey i've still got a copy of NFS2 special edition round here somewhere - how do you do that editing thing? i found the secret codes to unlock the 2CV, MX5, bus, army truck, rolling box, etc...

cant have played that game in 2 or 3 years :) and yet its the only reason i stuck with a voodoo 3d card instead of going modern. best get a couple sessions in before i buy this 'ere 64mb GeForce off a mate

wouldnt mind making a local map neither - this town's got some bits that would make awesome race tracks if only you could fence the houses off and ensure there was nothing coming the other way (or, stuff that, go balls out and use hot pursuit mode :D). Nice big hills, reasonably wide roads, sweeping corners, and that's just one part of my drive to the saturday job. You wouldnt expect it of birmingham now would you?

Then there's the F1 special stage street circuit - the roads remain even though the event is long gone...

...and short cutting from the M1 to the north-of-the-trent A453 via nottinghams very own back of beyond, the road could have been purposely built as a race circuit for a fair bit of it's length. It's freaky - and totally wasted on journeys where you're guaranteed to never exceed 47mph. (Quite how you'd make it into a circuit, now, thats a thing... probably have to add a return route down another set of lanes and make a total lamer-nurburg out of it)

plus pretty much any route you could name through north wales that hasnt been turned into a trunk dual carriageway (and a fair few sections of the bits that have, thanks to the totally unyielding geology)

i think the best thing polyophony could do for GT4 is to later release an add on pack with a few more cars, a couple more tracks.. and a slightly dumbed down version of their editor and the ability to load stuff to/from the memory card :D :D

i still have nfs1, nfs2, nfs2se and nfs3 here

but none of them work on win xp

to edit the cars performance, there was a tool you downloaded that editted some file thing - memory is vague on it

was a mint game, would love to play it some more

well i may be selling an athlon 600 (win98) here soon if you're interested, and it may well end up with a Voodoo card in it as well... or the p133 (which runs it fine with a decent 3d card!)
