ive spotted a nearly new downpipe on a mk3 cl in my local scrappy, will the downpipe of this fit my gt?

arnt GT's bigger bore pipes after the CAT than the single point injection models, so it wont match the rest of the GT pipework (but dont quote me on that)

as far as i'm aware they downsize from the rear of the middlebox

CL and GT downpipes are the same. G40 ones are bigger bore - but you can fit a genuine stock GT or CL system to a G40 downpipe, as the mid-section/downpipe joins are all the same size.

Yup, 50mm join at the cat, 1.0/basic 1.3 42mm mid>rear, GT 48mm mid>rear, G40 50mm mid>rear.

How sad is that knowing it off the top of my head

All the downpipes are the same, including where they join the middle section. As nuttinnew said the middle pipe and back box have different diameters, can't beleive you know them off hand lol.

Hmm, i've got a feeling my GT only has a 42mm tailpipe!!

Ah well, will be considering a full system soon!!
