service question

hey guys was just wondering what a service inspection includes, might be a silly question.... also anyone know somewhere good in london to go im sick and tried of dodgy mechanics.... as you all know.... also trying to save some money got clamped on wednesday... £115 !!!!!!

being clamped sucks. Dont let that make you scrimp on the servicing though! (and I don't mean you need to take it to vw!!)
assuming you dont have a manual...
at least you'll want to:
change oil+filter,
brake pad thickness,
brake fluid level,
condition of tyres
check coolant,
also:
power steering fluid level
suspension - leaking dampers, wear in bushes etc
maybe air filter
maybe spark plugs if not done in a while.
if you dont know much about cars then you should get a mechanic reccommended by a friend.
dont forget a cambelt and tensioner change if you're up to 60,000 miles!!
