Ashcroft's 6N2 GTI: Peeed off!! Just caved in door sill :'(

Post by red6n2 »

I ran it stupidly low like to
The point where
I couldn't fit a McDonalds dip underneath :-D

And smashed all the wishbones up my tyres lasted two weeks then cords started showing due to the stupid camber I had, also smashed something under the car... Gave it to my mate along with my cc and just walked away ha !. I also accidentally smashed my smoothed front bumper :-(

Soon to be sorted though !.

Ooo that sounds pretty nasty mate :-( I can't run that low due to the poor road quality down here, I also catch my mudflaps everywhere.
I struggle to get in and out of my drive as it is so don't fancy goin much lower.

So this weekend I was bored and thought I'd get busy paintin a few bits I've needed to do for a while.

Sorry Craig I just had to butcher your old badge ;-)

I felt like being a bit different so I thought I'd do the tweeter covers wrinkle black instead of gloss or carbon and I also colour coded the mesh inserts :-)
Image
While I was colour coding I decided to do the VW surround on the front grill to get rid of the horrible grey primer which I left a long time ago.

It's hard to capture but it looks really well in my opinion :-)

While I had the door card off to fit the spare tweeter cover I also fitted my stubby mirror which I've had since Christmas which is why you can see a red mirror ;-) will be getting painted black very soon.
Also while door card was off I decided to paint a few extra bits...

And here's the finished result of Craig's old badge...

And a picture someone took of a meet yesterday

Oh btw elmo has now gone he looked out of place so I took him off

Thanks Ben :-)

I wouldn't of bought a gti unless I found 1 with leather, hense the trip to Scotland for it ;-)

Was loads down my way but only gti's with leather had really high mileage
