Gti & standard 9n3

Are the rear axels on the 9n3 gti & standard 9n3 the same width etc just with discs fitted ? just I am buying some 16" x 7.5 et 20 rims that have come off a 9n3 gti, and they fit perfect and just wondered weather they will fit exactly the same on my 9n3 or is the gti axel narrower or wider as I don't want the back wheels to have loads of poke .

Pretty much exactly the same. Only difference is the discs as you say, but all the mounting points are there for the discs should you ever want to fit them.

You won't have any problems with those alloys. Are they the standard Monzas? If they are aftermarket then they may have spacers fitted...
