Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
Can someone tell me with out what fuse the car will refuse to start?
-like fuse to disable the ignition key barrel
-fuse for the starter
-ok even fuse for fuel pump is okay.
-I tried removing fuse 10 - car starts
-Tried fuse 26- car starts - just glow plug flashing, and power steering...

what do you mean by 'refuse to start'? no crank or crank-no start?

Take fuse 3 below the steering wheel, it's the power for the fuel pump relay. No fuel, no start. At least not for long.

Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
Hi all,
Can anyone help - My daughter has a 2015 1.2TSI 6C and there is a check daytime driving light warning on the dash.
The lights located in the bumper don't appear to be getting any power when the engine is switched on. I've looked at the fuse diagram in the manual, but there is no reference to DRLs.
Can anyone advise how to diagnose the problem / which fuse I should check?
Thanks

In Polo 6C the DRLs are managed by the BCM, so there is no fuse for these lights.
Check the condition of the bulbs.

Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
Hi, quick question regarding dashcam fuses for my Polo 6R. I've seen previous messages stating that for ACC should use terminals 15/75, and VCC/BAT should use terminals 30.
Obviously you don't want to mess with any fuses that are car critical. Many of the VCC/BAT (terminal 30) fuses link to the Onboard Supply Control Unit -J519-, as well as to non-critical parts (interior lights, etc.). Should I avoid using these fuses, or is the connection to the supply control unit not a problem?
I am thinking of using F42 (cigarette lighter) for ACC and F45 (radio) for VCC/BAT.
Alternatively, I have a couple of empty slots missing fuses, but with live wires inside still. Would it be ok to use these slots for the dashcam fuse taps with 5A fuses? Thanks in advance to any answers.

The best solution would be to use some of the available, empty slots.
Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
Hi forgive me if this is not right forum and I'm new to this. But looking for some help. My daughter has a 2011 polo and warning light is showing in dashboard. I've replaced the bulbs in back nearside light which is what I thought it was a it wasn't working but it still does work. Indicating light and reversing light are working. I don't know what to do next. Just for the record I'm 63 yr woman but I can do most basic mechanical jobs with some know how!!
Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
I have a 6R with factory footwell lights. I would like to have my footwell lights stay ON only when my headlights are ON. I am thinking of connecting a wire from the + of the headlight to the + of the footwell. Would this be correct?

Yes that would work
Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
Is there a schematic/wiring for the headlight that I could find anywhere?

Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
You can get all wiring schemes specific for your car from ErWin:
https://erwin.volkswagen.de/erwin/showHome.do
Register, buy one hour of access and use your VIN to find schematics.
Or if you feel like your VW dealership likes you enough, you can try to ask them for it, it's in the Basic Equipment for H4/H7 halogen headlights or in the gas discharge or LED section of you have those.
