Window motor compatibility

Window motor compatibility

I'm needing to replace the n/s front window motor on my 2011 6R '60S' 4 door Polo. The existing faulty motor bears the part number: 6R0959801AD (which VAG confirm has currently been superseded to: 6R0959801DK) I wondered if anyone definitively knew if when sourcing a replacement motor is it OK to ignore the last two letter suffix? i.e. will a motor with for example a 'BB' suffix work, or will there be compatibility issues. I'm led to believe that the first nine characters are the important ones, the suffix letters merely denoting a later build or modification (but I'm not convinced).
