Hi, thought we'd introduce ourselves, the cars owner is Hannah, and I'm her Dad Dave who has the job of getting it prepped for the big day when she can drive it. Reading the posts on here, we've got a long way to go but in the first instance it will all be OE and 'standard' for insurance.
Updated to show pictures not a link - apologies .
Some pics of the car after a clay and polish, shiny in now fashionable 'recession white!'
OEM grille
Stubby Aerial before new gasket
Trial fit of BBS RZs from my Corrado - sadly not for this car yet!
Some old OZs I had lying around - nice but not insurance friendly!

Cheers Alex - it's a medium term project as she can't drive it until the summer.alexperkins wrote:Welcome. Looking good so far

Re: Newbie - Polo 6N2 first car
Got a few more jobs done over the Christmas break.
Alloys re-fitted after a good clean up, polish and 4 new tyres.
Hannah's number plate transfered and fitted - excuse the finger in the edge of the photo!
Close up of cleaned up alloy with new center badges and tyres - drives superbly with 4 matching Nexen N Blue Eco tyres!
Next job is to fit the new OEM rear mudflaps I've managed to track down and the new gear lever gaiter as the original one has had it.

It looks lovely and clean for its age.

Thanks Roundsquare, it is clean, just some minor jobs to do like tailgate lock microswitch, locate a very minor oil leak and change the slightly intermittent ignition switch. All pretty easy just need to find time!!Roundsquare wrote:It looks lovely and clean for its age.
