I had a similar problem years ago on mine, it got worse and worse to the point where the car eventually wouldn't start at all, it turned out my immobiliser was knackered, this seems to be a bit of a common problem on these

Hi mate, i bled mine when I changed my caliper, discs and pads and they did feel much more solid after that

Hi mate, I recently did mine and I just got pagid discs from euros and they are fine, I got black diamond predator pads from venom motorsport which seem pretty good, they have a nice bite, all in all everything is fine. Hope this helps.

Hi, just so people are aware, I ordered a Lucas caliper from gsf but it didn't fit, it was too small for the GTi, I did eventually find a genuine GTi one which I ordered from cat automtice so all is well now.

Haha I'm fine with the spanners, I always do all my car work myself, just never done a clutch haha, any idea how much a garage would roughly charge?

Yeah it will all need to come from the same gti, I couldn't connect to my car either when mine gave up, after fitting the new ecu, immo etc it connects fine
