You don't need the rod/mast for the DAB radio to work.
- Check the 5F unit's coding in a few bytes ('DAB installed'). Use VCDS, VCP, ODIS, etc.
- Check the continuity of the DAB cable (black connector) at both ends with a multimeter.

It's just a personal opinion, but I think this digital instrument cluster suits the Ibiza a bit better in terms of integration with the dashboard.

Re: Yellow warning lights and the engine stall
As RUM4MO already mentioned, the various warning lights on the instrument panel are due to insufficient voltage (electrical supply) precisely when the power steering is drawing a lot of power.

Since I'll be working on the suspension springs, I'm also going to replace the rear spring plates, and  take extra measures to prevent squeaking when driving over those lovely sleeping policemen in wet weather.

Re: Passenger door issue
If your OBD2 diagnostic tool is very basic, you probably won't have access to unit coding -BCM, 09 Central Electric-, you'll likely only have access to diagnostics like checking DTCs.
You need something like VCDS, OBD11, VCP, 'etc' -multibrand tools-. Many enthusiasts and workshops have these tools ...

Re: Passenger door issue
Hi,
Perhaps the problem lies in the BCM coding.
Do you have any diagnostic tools?
---
If it's a 6R (not a 6C), perhaps that POLO had Byte0 Bit0 activated/enabled in the BCM.
In that case, you just need to deactivate/disable it.
Example with VCDS:
