Re: Reverse lights stay on??
The OP doesn’t state if it’s a new or used switch but that would be my first guess, the switch is either faulty or it’s the wrong one for that gearboxLe_Combattant wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 6:26 pm Maybye your rerverse switch on the gearbox. Can be faulty.

The most likely cause for this in your situation is the head light is cracked from the impact, remove it and carefully inspect it.

The ‘AUTO’ button when active will regulate the desired temperature, ie if you set the right temp to 20 degrees it will monitor the blown air temperature to achieve this constantly adjusting between hot and cold . As said this is duel zone so you can set each side of the cabin to different temperatu...

Hi all, I’m having trouble with the daily driver ATM, intermittently I get no dash lights when turning the key to the on position. If I cycle the key several times it comes back to life. I believe it’s a failing ignition switch, without taking the steering column covers off I’m struggling to find a ...

So at the trunk light you have 12v at the connector ? The micro switch sends the negative/ earth side to switch the light on. With the bulb out there is no load on the circuit this maybe why the dash light works , please check the wiring in the trunk lid hinge area first , you may have a broken wire...

Re: Slight Shiver on Tickover
Saving money by missing out on replacing some service items can sometimes make no sense at all. Edit:- a top tip might be to try to find a proper garage that uses the car manufacturer's service schedule instead of "what we've always done since 1950". While I wholeheartedly agree with your...

Polos really only got CarPlay/ android auto from 2016 onwards , being an older car and without details of your 5F unit it’s near impossible to tell you if adding CarPlay would be possible.
Using the search function on here for CarPlay will bring you to a long thread dedicated to these issues

Re: Is this an MOT failure?
This may not be a mot failure but it would be a reason to ‘refuse to test’ as in the mot manual it states in the introduction section 4 refuse to test G, g. A proper examination cannot be carried out because any door, tailgate, boot, engine cover, fuel cap or other device designed to be easily opene...
