Making a post for future reference by others. I'll try and collate information about this topic taken from this and other threads regarding brake upgrades for the 6C GTi using parts from other VAG cars.
Post any corrections or extra info and I'll edit the post to add them.

Yeah i struggle to find them also. But as far as im aware 2WD carriers off a Leon cupra r MK1 TT etc should fit. Just want to check before i spend again

the easiest upgrade for the 6c is to get a full of brakes off a seat leon Mk1 cupra R .
you will need to run spacers on the front to clear the calipers but they are pretty much bolt on (new flexi hoses on the front only thing required)
the rears are 256mm vented aswell and use the correct 2wd ...

256mm rear brake upgrade for a 6C GTI
Hello guys!
First post here as im struggling to find information on the topic. Ive picked up some 256mm rear brakes but the carriers are off a 4WD car. I know these do not fit now, but at the time i didn't understand the reasons why.
So is it simple enough to purchase 2wd carriers and swap them ...
