Re: 6N2 Polo GTI Power Issue

Try cleaning out the throttle body, its a known issue on gti's for it to get dirty.. ( Buy some carb cleaner from halfords, remove the airbox, and give it a good clean) this may help your problem!

Driving my polo gti home earlier i went to pull away at some lights and therew no power whatsoever, and its also redlining dead at 5k in every gear? The car was running fine the night before, but now seems to be ridicously slow, i'm sure i've heard about this before but can't remember what the ...

could possibly be the gearbox from a 1.6 mk4 golf? as that has the same sort of ratios you've described.

the diff is making a noise but no whirring.

After a close call with the cambelt, (tensioner completely destroyed belt slipped but no damage occurred!) vw have advised me that i have a noisy diff, the question is now, how long does the box have left? its abit notchy to get into first but other then that no real issues. The only thing that ...

Re: whirring noise when clutch is pressed down?

i have a similar problem although the noise does not go when the clutch is pressed down, (when stationary) it does not get any louder, and when the car is rolling can sometimes hear a metically noise but this goes when the car is coasting, i'm hoping its just the release bearing as the car has only ...
