Know the speakers are 17cm but what depth can you get away with before hitting the window or something?

Clutch + reverse problems
Hi Have a problem that my 46,000 mile Y reg Gti has a really heavy clutch that always grinds whenever it goes into reverse but always seems worse after the car has done a few miles. Also the clutch seems very heavy generally. Pedal box was done under warranty a few years ago. Any ideas? I am guessin...

Well its already started... today I bought an Enfig S2000 aerial and I don't even have the car yet.
Planning to keep her as OEM as possible but must remember to refurb the alloys first before I spend any more on the car.
