Yeah, he does.. and every month or so someone new from barryboys sees his car and thinks "What a great subject for some mockery", and every month or so someone from porka goes over to barryboys and informs them that he's not a barry and the stuff he has on his car actually has a purpose. Evidently they like dredging up old news..

lol

"sorry, but this email address has been banned" !!

HMM I WONDER WHY THAT IS I CANT GUESS

not to worry........ i have LOTS of email addresses.

edit --- hmm that one didnt work either. praps it doesnt like yahoo in general. never did get why places wont accept webmail addresses... you have to supply an ISP email to sign up for one, after all.

edit2 --- supplied a spoof address. seems that they dont send you an activation code, but instead, an "administrator" reviews your application and says yay or nay. Which is kind of like allowing a suspect to pick his own jury. They may be honest and innocent. Maybe they're not. But its a great way of them wielding the power to quash any dissent.

But then what do you expect from a place that hasn't updated it's pride-and-joy Shed Of The Week section since last time i looked at it - september 26th 2004... with no explanation.

yeah its mr pinches fine rallymobile...

actually having cast an eye over the site, unless they've logged my IP and decided not to let me view anything newer than when they (i guess!) banned me, the place hasn't been allowing active posting for quite some time - indeed the second newest topic in any forum is the nominations for the october shed of the week. Haven't yet re-found the thread with GFPs polo in, but it's probably aways down the list maybe mid-september.

edit: aha... tagline here - "Posted: Wed Sep 29, 2004 9:50 pm Post subject: More s**t from Lancaster"

So it's not, in fact, a repeat of the old toss, but the old toss itself.
I think BB has died.

yeah well the site played with fire in reality, individualism is what drives us, and if modifying your car to obscurity is your idea of that then why the hell not do it.
don't worry i wont be converting to chavmobiles, the polo stays :) and i've got to stop thinking of more mods before i go o.t.t.

i dont mind taking the p*** out of some awful sheds as well - and to give them credit, there were certain members who had an admirable talent for spotting 'em... the most "recent" cinq and seiscento being stand-outs :D

their whole attitude outside of that was sucky though, no attempts at rebuttals, no sliver of open mindedness to anything at all, no chance to defend your car if someone nominated it as a barry shed even if they'd done it purely at random from spite and it was a completely unmodified 911 turbo. some of the archived arguments on there show it up brilliantly, just descends into name calling and hair pulling.

omg h4x LOL!

pffft top bit of detective work there, though i dont understand how them making that copy has killed the other site..

edit - no it hasnt... the link up top of the page must be to the .info site, right? Because barryboys.co.uk is still live and kicking (and barryboys.com is something to do with irish pensioners..)

no matter how sad your polo is looking, you can always content yourself that it isn't THIS

ouch...
