Found a random button

annoyed by the random sharp thing underneith the gear stick leather thing, i ripped it off last night, to find a random button




i assume its somethng to do with the alarm


but, i cant figure out what


i dont know what sort of alarm it is

the blipper button thing unlocks and disarms the alarm, and locks and arms the alarm

this *new* button does neither


also, if you dont start the car within a certain time of unlocking the doors, it wont start untill you done alarm off, alarm on

this button doesnt stop that either



but if you star the car, the led that flashes when the alarm is on
goes on, and stays on for a few seconds
before turning off

so maybe a valet mode


but no, doesnt lessen the revs on that start up or the next

doesnt cut it out

how odd lol, do you know where the alarm 'brain' is? any markings on your keyfob? might help identify the brand/model

i know on mine i have a button that does nowt apart from when the alarm goes wrong and youve to press it to type a code in to reset it it.like typing morse codejust a thought.mines a clifford summat or other
