Post by DANBLACK87 »

hey there, i have no clue about wheels or alloys and fitments etc. can anyone tell me if i can put these wheels:

if i can put them on my mk3 polo squareback. if anyone knows it would be a great great help.

ALSO, your opinions on the wheels aswell, that would be good too.

cheers lads.

thats a pretty useless item description really, as he doesn't give any info on the wheels apart from that they're 4 stud

you need to find out the PCD (how the 4 holes are spaced) and the offset (how much the wheels stick out)

Most polos (apart from 9n onwards) are 4 x 100 pcd and have an offset (also known as ET) of around 38 i think.

EDIT:what about something like these?

Dan, just email the guy and get him to tell you the offset and PCD. If he can't tell you, forget it.

Don't go for those ones that Pettsy has linked too. They look s**t in my opinion... well on a Polo anyway

thanks for the help, with that i have found alot more alloys. how much should i really be looking to pay, because some of these wheels seem very expensive for 13" wheels.

I'd say pay up to the most you want to spend on wheels and no more. A budget is good to stick to.

But it's up to you! As for general prices of 13", I can't help you.

Depends what you're getting and how much demand for it there is, it fluctuates wildly so keep watching.. I picked up my set of mk1 golf gti 9 spokes for £40 with 2 good tyres and two useable, then another for £70 with 2 good tyres and 2 completely bald.. just higher demand when I bought them. So, bide your time if you can ;)
