rocker cover polishing...help

hey peeps.could anyone please give us a bit of advice on the removal of my 1.4 16v rocker cover for polishing...and polishing it once its off.its removing it which is causing me most grief ,any tips would be very appreciated..cheers..rich

Why is taking it off causing you grief old boy, all you need to do is un bolt the ten bolts and lift it off......I've had mine off twice now, once to paint it and once to replace it with a polished one....looks like so.

sweet jesus.that looks great.i took the bolts off but it still felt solid as thoughr there was something else holding it elsewhere.are the visible ones and the ones under the spark plug covers the only ones then mate.cheers..

Those are the only bolts mate, you need to detach the plastic cover at the end driverside as well then it lifts off, you may have to use alittle force as it may have been fitted using selant as well so it might be kinda glued on if you get me.

Tempted... but mk5 16v is like all plastic :(
