Hit a dog. :(

Post by JWC »

Hi all,
Was on my way to the garage to jetwash my car and I hit a brown labrador. 35kg worth. The dog looked pretty bad, but have since heard that it should make a full recovery eventually.

The owner was quite upset, and I was too, as there was nothing anyone could do. (Appart from keep dog under proper control). I hit it on the near side corner at 30 mph.

Anyway, I estimated the damage to be 250 quid, which they provided a cheque for. We both Doctors, so I'm sure it won't bounce. The nasty part was scraping dog off my car and arch. :( Even though I don't like dogs its not something I enjoyed.

So now, I'm looking at a new bumper, and spray job on it.

Whilst I'm at it, I think I will get a spoiler too, as it seems like they will do it for another 20 quid. So its not all bad.

Poor dog. Poor Car.

Which do you think I went to look at first, the front of my car or the dog?

this is true, its hardly an unbiased cross section of the public.

I have cashed the cheque from the owner for 250, and am getting the bumper replaced. Whilst I'm at it, I'm getting a spoiler sprayed too.
