Where abouts are you based?

Being metalic they will have to spray your tailgate & rear quarters aswell to make sure the paint doesnt look odd.

I once paid £50 and 4 cans of stella for a full respray! Although I did all the prep, stripping and buffing! Oh and paid for paint seperately... and it was just a flat colour.

I have another mate who has just repaired and painted my car for a good price. If you're around the Manchester way I'll get him to quote you if you want?

9 times out of 10 the garage would rather do the prep themselves, no offence but that is their area of work, if people want to do their own prep they cant winge if it looks s**t!

anyway if it's a new bumper it shouldn't need much prep and therefore wont really affect the cost

I reckon around £150-200 if the place is any good, they would have to blend into you wings etc hence the extra cost

If you were doing the work and literally just gave them the bumper and didnt blend to the colour of the car then i reckon £75-100

In my opinion it's worth the extra cost to get the job done properly

I live in Atherton near Bolton way. Dont really drive round Manchester unless Im going the Trafford centre or driving my dad to his buisiness 'meetings' (read p!$$ ups!)

Whereabouts in Manchester are you?

Oh btw, its a good thing you dont spot other GTis, makes us look rarer... and cooler!

If he hasnt mentioned prepping then its included sounds alright to me!

My mate did front bumper, passenger wheelarch, passenger door, passenger rear quarter, rear bumper, drivers rear quarter and drivers door inc handles and mirrors (that Im yet to fit) and all buffed up... all for £300 as a favour!
