Remote lead on Sony XR-C33R

I just got my new project car (Dragon Green 1.4L) and haven't really had a chance to change my head unit. A mate of mine that claimed that he could fit my amp and two 12's, managed to forget to put the remote lead on the HU. His excuse was that there wasn't anywhere to put it.

Can anyone shed some light on this, as he only told me this after my battery was dead.

Help will be appreciated.

it sholud be a skinny blue wire that might be lableed aeriel
