Nothing is easy then

So basically the mod you added :

1. You press the button
2: Picked up by the mini Central Convience Module in the little mod (basically)
3. Tells it to open
4: You get in and vice versa....

The mod act's as a Central Convience Module then

Booo.... Im pretty sure it would be too much hassle to go get a remote locking Central Convience Module put in and them connected to the ECU etc etc...

Looks like ill just have to get this tidy little mod ... hows it holding up neways ? Easy to fit ?

I think your correct about how this votex thing does it

Sadly, I had investigated further before - it uses a different frequency to vw keyfobs, so I doubt it possible to code in a vw keyfob to the votex - you would have to use the supplied one

I've got a Central Convience Module in my possesion, but im not sure exactly where behind the dash it should go - because if the loom is present, then I should be able to plug it in and program using vag-com... [and therefore a vw fob...] the mind wonders!

The CCM I have was from a Polo GTI that had an alarm and remote central (well I hope it did)

Who knows exactly where the CCM is?

The votex is perfect, not had a problem with it at all, works like a dream, easy to fit, only 'hard' bit is splicing in the connections to make the flashers work - but you dont have to if you dont want to, simply plug and play

to clarify what inder was saying about the simplicity of installing the golf unit it really only takes a couple of minutes.

take the central locking pump out of the pouch on the boot. unplug the loom and plug it into the votex then plug into the pump. attach the aerial and lay tidily around boot.

press to lock and it locks, if you hold down the buttons it will shut/opens everything ie windows.

i didnt bother connecting to the flashes cause i didnt want to cut any wires but the pump is so loud you can here it work anyway.

i only got mine tonight and popped to the shops, wondered how i had lived without it.

your right about the pump being loud tho hehe
