Wheels advice please

Post by AKs_SlickPolo »

Right im seriously considering three different types of wheels at the moment. Im interested in some RH Cups 15''s and also some OZ Polaris 16'' alloys.

Im kinda on a budget and intend to lower it too by about 50mm. i dont know why but i really like the soft spokes effect the Oz polaris gives. But im unsure whether they would suit a mk4? what do others think, i think they will but then again im not too sure

PS if any1 had these on their mk4/mk5 before? if yes could they share a picture . thanks

erm if ur on a budget,
with 16s, u need 195/40/16 which are expensive, if u dont want any rubbing when lowered

so its better to stick with 15" with 195/45/15 tyres. these look good when lowered 50/60mm.... perfect IMO 8)

tricky one - as the man says, 15's would work out a lot cheaper. but if you prefer the look of the oz's then it seems to be quite a timeless 5 spoke design, I'm sure it would look nice.

each to their own!

you can even buy 195x50x15's if you don't slam it too much (40mm max) and this would be even cheaper - but 45 profile tyres do work out to be a lot easier to fit with regards to rubbing and so on (especially if you want to do 40mm+) and in my opinion are worth the extra tenner a corner
