Instrument panel light

How do I change the regular green light in my 1997 polo to the same light like in the newer VW cars (blue & red)
I have read different articles about puting blue leds instead of the green one but it WONT give me the same blue+red arrows light.
Any ideas?

dial conversion--- change the whole unit! (will be costly)
