Steamy Windows

Post by xx_loopy_xx »

Probably not what you were thinking

My windscreen keeps steaming up, as soon as i get in the car, and normal heater doesnt get rid of it unless you feel like sitting there for about 15 minutes, keeping the window open is the same, and the only way that you can get rid of it is if you have the air conditioning on, but as soon as you turn it off, there it is again, so you have to drive around with the air conditioning which isnt very good for fuel consumption!

I recently had the air conditioning fixed because it was broken, do you think it could be something to do with this?? Its still under warrenty, so i could demand them to fix it again, but just wanted to know if it was something to do with this, or under warrenty for that matter.

Hope someone could help!!!!! :)

I always have my air con on 80%. the fuel comsumpsion malarky doesn't bother me.

The window clears in seconds with air con on but dont have any experience without air con (only had the car 2 weeks)

i use air con to quick clear windows (such as humid days in summer etc) but air con constantly wil slow your car down a bit and hurt fuel consumption

Slows the car down!!!!

I will have to stop using the air con so much to see how much it effects the fuel. I like using air con as during the week when im driving im in my suit and its nice to be cooled down.

i hardly ever use mine. The problem is that after the quick clear, i'll turn it off and then it'll steam up again, which surely isnt right!
