Cheers boys, ive sorted the problems now thank god so its going well again! Those rims are 16" Tecnomagnesio DETROIT F1`s i bought them for my mk2 golf but decided they looked better on the polo! I lowered it 60mm to get it lookin better and it doesnt scrub at all.
Ive had the car brimmed with the weight of about 6 people and not a scrub at all. You can still get full lock aswell but only coz its running 195 tyres the 205`s would catch
I used 60mm SPAX lowering springs and kept the original 16v shocks! The shocks work fine as they are stiffer than normal models and ive never had them bottom out! Ive tried many makes of springs and would say the spax are by far the best! Hope that helps, im thinking of putting 205`s on te rear so ill let u know how they are!
Where is the best place to sell my 16v does anyone know?
205s dont really rub.mine are 205/40/17 with 50mm spring and shocks,i can have a full car and full lock with no rubbing...at all.thats with tiny mods to arch liner but thats it.60mm on 15s should be fine.
so you just replaced the spring and everythings fine??? if sothen this is gunna be cheaper than i thought
Sure is cheaper and it drives as smooth as anything! The spax and 16v shocks are really good, the car handles amazing, looks ace and the ride isnt too harsh! i paid £99 for the springs
Nice clean look
Uni or the car... blah... forget uni
But then again you sed you have a Mk2 right?
Bare in mind whether you'll need transport or not whilst at uni... and take advantage of the lowest possible interest rates of a student loan.
Thanks, i love the car but it has to go! I sold the mk2 last weekend and now need to sell my little beast! Me and a friend are going half on a shed to share at uni!
