Get the backseat, rear doorcards, rear carpet and spare wheel/jack out of there :D

Makes slight weight difference, and sounds quite good from the inside.

light weight & good torque with low gearing --- vs --- more slippery shape and better peak power with longer gearing :)

which is part of why they're nippy round town (especially if you abuse the clutch from a standstill) but bobbins on motorways

lol tigz theres that whole argument again..... perky, lightweight, but geared too low for top speed shenanigans and shaped like a brick :D

*reads more*

oh ok, if it wasn't a 1/4 mile, what was it? I'm guessing an 1/8th? As the second half of a quarter run goes much quicker than the first...

Where and when was it by the way? I'm surprised more 1-litrers weren't up for a giggle. Seen a few tricked out 998cc "sLow Rider" arosas and lupos in picture posts before, bet they'd be up for it :D

I had an old school Ford Fiesta 950cc, you had to plan overtaking manoeuvres with military precision.

Someone had the great idea of leaving Edition 38 last year on the Sunday morning and go to Trax

I think it was an 1/8 mile if I rember correctly.
I wanted to go on the track, but the price and qualiy of drivers put me off.
We were given a load of free sprint track tickets, so I desided to have a pop as there was nothing else at the show keeping me intrested.

You know when you get the feeling that everyone 1/8th of a mile away is still laughing as you pass the speed trap?
I felt that for days
