a creaking sunroof?

hello all,
just got my polo a couple weeks now and noticed everytime i drive it i get a really annoying creaking noise, which i traced to the plastic tray- slidey bit on the sunroof!
if i put my hand in the middle of it it seems to stop but else it wont stop!
any ideas

try spraying a bit of lubricant (mr sheen or something) on the runners?
