Wheel alinement

Hey guys,

my Polo (and I think everyones) never really went in a proper straight line while driving.
When I mounted the 17 inch rims the problem became more serious.
The car just never stayed in a straight line. And the rare thing is that sometimes the car stays pulling to the right and another time it keeps on pulling to the left.
So I went to a wheelshop and got my toe-out changed 2 degrees.
This gave my car a more centering steering. Downside is that the tires wear off faster.

Now after my car was hit by another car the company who fixed my car got my car alined back to the (ofcourse) stock values.

So the steering is rubbish again. And I would like a proper solution. The big problem is that I don't think the suspension is multiple choice. It's just fixed. No camber/ caster choice.

Doesn't anyone have the same problem ?

i think i have a similar problem.

ie. my tyre wear isnt even. it is more on the inside of the tyre.

so it is somthin i am getting checked out soon as i need new tyres

You need your geometry done! That should sort your tyre wear. Also think its a dealer shot! Not to many companies invest in that sort of equipment. (Ps. dont quote me on that)

Camber and caster is non-adjustable in these cars, I'm afraid to say.

All the cars are coming out of the factory poorly aligned. My friend managed to get 2 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres out of SEAT UK after it was found that the toe setting was incorrectly set at factory and had eaten 2 front tyres in 7000 miles.

i will find somwhere to sort it, my dad has loads of mates in the mechanic/car trade
