Clear Indicators

Post by jazzypolo »

Ok, I've sorted out the Red Rear Lights thanks to Ash, but I'm wondering if there are different types of Clear Indicators out there.

The reason I say this is that I saw a bog standard polo with clear/white indicators that seemed to have an orange reflector inside the clear unit.

What I'm after is an Indicator unit that looks clear, so that you get a clear look across the Headlight and IndicatorLight.

Maybe such a thing doesn't exist or do you have a completely clear unit with a bulb that only turns orange when it's on :?:

The lenses are clear with an orange bulb inside. What you nead are some Philips Sivervision bulbs. These are obviously silver ! in colour but flash orange.
I have them in my 16V and you can't really see them from the outside so you lose that 'fried egg' look.
They aren't cheap though at approx £15 a pair.
hope this is of help

Cheers guys

You both answered my question before I'd even had a chance to get another beer.

I'll go with the OE Indicators and Silver Vision bulbs.

This Polo thing is damm addictive, I've just seen the BBS 772 wheels on the Polo GTI and I WANT THEM !!!!!

after reading your post in For Sale i would say some of these may suit your tastes a little bit more (bit pricey though)

Image
Headlights - £150
Side indicators - £39

and then some

which are £17.63 after VAT

all from Venom motorsport -

hope that helps

Now you guys are really doin my head in.

I started off with a nice silver polo that I just wanted to smarten up with a few bits and pieces.

The Missus is already givin me a hard time, cause I'm spending money on stuff for a car which doesn't need it.

I do like those crystal lights though.

If I bought the Indicators I'd have to get the Headlights to match.

Maybe I could arrange a slight front end prang at work.

Now I'm gonna go to bed thinking how I can get both.

AHHHHHHHH This is pure addiction.

Who needs drugs when you can own a polo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
