Has anyone here ever won anything?

I once won a chemistry set from a compo in the Young Telegraph (don't laugh) It was tremendous fun making random concoctions from the chemicals contained in this kit.

We had a severe ant problem at our house at the time and I seem to remember pouring the entire contents of the set in to the drain where they were coming from! Buggers never came back! Probably poisoned the whole of the village in doing so though!! Nevermind!

only two times?

a plastic golf set for ages 4-6 at a school fete thing (i was into double figures by then and never really got to play with it - think it was quietly swapped for a cricket set by parents) in the raffle

and

this is really geeky

A VHS copy of Battle Angel Alita (pan 'n' scan, dubbed), part one. From a competition I didnt even enter. Great bit of schlock animation that got me into animé, but totally unexpected - I'd entered some completely different competiton (i forget what, even!) and somewhere in the vast publishing company, a couple piles of readers names and addresses must have been collided together... someone somewhere was expecting manga gore and got whatever fluff it was i wanted to win ------ after all... the tape's an 18... i was 10

(both were within weeks of each other IIRC)

before, and since.............. NOTHING
not even a tenner on the lottery when i played it for a short while
not even a round of Soul Blade against my bro

4 Numbers on the lottery.....once and i got about £90 i think cos not many people won that week.................

And now the two embarrasing one's.................................

I went along with a mate to the Sheffield heat of the national scalextric championships at a car dealership a few years ago..... we both entered ourselves into the competition he was knocked out in the 1st round i got through to the grand final of the Sheffield heats........ and finished 2nd!!!!!!! Bloody 2nd..... but i did win an elf motor oil golfing umbrella and a load of renault freebies.

And I won a crown green bowls competition when i was around 14 at a club in Sheffield..... Not a junior event but a full blown competition with bods playin who thought they were god's gift to everything...... God knows how i did it i never played anywhere near as good ever again!!!!! Got awarded a big cup and a trophy and got mi name in gold leaf on their giant oak winners board...... And it has room for around 50 years of winners so it'll be around for a long time yet!!!

couple of cds off the radio airly recently, along with some tickets to the btcc,thats about it

I've won a few things, cd's dvd's, bingo, I put £25 on cardiff beating leeds @ 35/1, when cardiff were 2nd division and leeds were no1 spot in the permiership, TV, champaigne, drive in a ferrari and my mum won a holiday for the whole family to malta. so all in all pretty lucky really.

my mate won a peugoet gti, lucky bugger.

i have won a few things, very small things though...such as VIP tickets to Gatecrasher summer sound system, Cd's, £77 on a scratch card and things like that...
