9n lowering (17")

Post by Robw53 »

i am wating to lower my car by about 30mm but i dont know if it will rub or if the wheels will be out of the arches, i want it so the wheels are just about to go in the arches so when it is fully loaded then the wheels should just be in the arches.

if anyone has any ideas on a rough lowering amout then it would be most appreciative, as well as pictures.

cheers

30mm springs will do very little. The same with 50mm springs.

The only true way to get your car looking right is to buy coilovers I'm afraid!

Me and Nelson_Wilbury, back in the day, tried many combinations of springs to get our cars sitting right. I ended up getting coilovers, Neil ended up getting jealous and almost ended up with a set of coilovers himself :)

well the coilovers for the 9n are they adjustable at the rear as well as the front, i carn't seam to see where the shocker is suppose to come through into the boot area, or isn't it like that.

i am looking for a good quality coilover set but i don't want to pay the earth, do you know any good manufacturers and companies to buy from.

You pay your money and get good stuff.

I strongly recommend KW coilovers. I'm gonna buy another set in a few weeks!

The rears are adjustable through a spring platform.

mine is nearly on the bottom of fk coilovers at the back and i could go about another - 50mm on the front when this pic was taken

i have found the fk kits to be the softest coilovers i have ever had

yea thats the sort of height i am looking for, are those 16" that are on because it looks to have alot of space around the wheel at the sides. so now i am unsure, i have looked at getting the FK ones but now you have brought kw in to the equation i am stuck, how do you adjust the rear suspension on the fk's also what is a spring platform.

i was looking for spax or apex just for the logo really, so i could have it down the side of my car, lol.

i looked on the venom motorsport site and it said for both the FK konigsport and the highsport that it lowers between 45-55 on the 9n but for the 6n etc it says 45-85mm do you think there is a spelling mistake.

where else do the fk at a reasonable price
