C/L/P Fixed, Now Alarm Not Responding -- HELP!!!!

2 weeks ago the central locking pump decided not to work anymore

so got a replacement from a golf k reg Â£35, it worked fine, but the pins were different. Does it make a difference??

Anyway, a week after sorting that, the alarm (aftermarket scorpion alarm is not responding. Does anyone no if the two might be linked cos the pins are different.

Your alarm should be connected via the actuators on the doors and not the pump. There are two wires coming from the drivers and passenger doors, into the car via the pink connectors. Check a haynes on the colours, there double coloured iirc. either these have came off or have a poor connection or a dead actuator. it can also possibly be something wrong with your alarm module itself too.

Took it to my alarm guy today, he spent all of 20 seconds on it and got it working. turns out it just needed syncronizing. Back in full effect, again.
