Have you seen the tag-line?
"Some things are best left alone" -- wasn't this from an old mkiv campign a good few years back. I seem to remember magazine ads with "customised" mkivs. One was white, and had flames or something in blue painted on it. It looked like its was crying - blue "splodgies" that looked like tears where coming from its headlamps.... I swear I'm not making this up!!! There was a red one as well. But it's a little hazy in my mind. The cars were packed in streetscapes.

The sticker got in both the Golf mag, and PVW!! hehehe! oce when I was at GTI Festival at Santa Pod, and then again at North Weald airfield for Inters 2 the other year!!
