Finally got one

Post by ModifiedMadness »

Just been and bought a GTi (At last) only came up for sale yesterday, was up for £6995 traded mine against it (only got £600 but every little helps) Its got A/C, Climate Control, Electric Sunroof and all the usual refinements, was owned by a VW Parts manager (have bought it from the dealer) in that price includes, 1 year breakdown cover, 1 year parts and labour warranty, Full years M.O.T., Service etc, just got to sort insurance out on Monday (pay day) then send off cover note for GTi, M.O.T and V5 for my car, so they can put my plate on it then I can pick it up.

Will post pics as soon as I get it. Oh yeah, it's a Silver 3 door. Can't wait, it was so nice to drive.

Yep, thanks to you that is, I had to come home from work to get them, only just made it, 15 seconds left when I got onto the PC  Did you get the Porsche Design 90s you were after?

No, put that idea on hold for now, still looking for some winter wheels though.
When you put those lights on, make sure the foam rubber seal is seated properly, mine wasn't and I had a spare wheel well full of water!

This is basically the overall plans for it, ignore the back wheel, (and non GTi headlights - Polosilvers old Polo) couldn't find one at the right angle, just looked flat every time I tried

Opinions on the wheel choice?

yep you got it!

i think painting the mirror base plates silver makes them blend in more and look smaller, i ilke that!

and the interior mirror, in black with light tints, i think the beige draws your eye away from other things....

was staring at mine for ages today and these were the 2 things that bugged me! :D
