lights in heater pannel

hey guys i'm new here, i got a problem with my 6n2's heater control pannel, the lights dont work :( does any1 knw how to fix it? any help would be well cool. thanxxx

You can remove the trim and control knobs to get down to the bulb under the centre control knob and replace the bulb, might not have to remove all the trim - just tug on centre control knob, can be stiff, but will come off eventually (which is why I removed the trim to prise it off, rather than pull, found it easier)

A small bulb is under it and lights up the whole control unit - v.cheap to replace and sort this problem :)

hehe mine was like that upon arrival too, was not working, when I sorted it out, it lit up rather shocking :lol:

lol i still havent got round to this myself - i have also been made aware that this bulb is very fragile :oops: some have said to use sum tubing or similar but i shall let you know how i get on...well when i get round to it

should be good to see it light up with the rest of the dash and i mite actually be able to see wen i want to change the dials while driving

yep the bulb is very small, but I just used my fingers and carefully placed it in with long nose pilers I think, tube sounds like a good idea. there is an actual vw tool for this task, but I have yet to get one lol

its great seeing the controls to change them :D
