possible reason for dead lamba sensor

Post by polo2k »

last night i was out having some fun on the mountains and this time i remembered to take a picture of my under bonnet ambient lighting
these pictures are completly unedited apart from resizeing by imagestation
Image
what you are looking at here is my exaust manifold however the camera didnt capture the color very accuratly in real life the color is much more orange and actually projects so as to light the back of the radiator

and here is the same picture witout flash which came out in blue for some very odd reason but shws some of the hottest areas very well
Image

so i dont think theres much question remaining as to why ive got to change my lamba sensor as its the piece in the picture screwed into one of the hottest areas

So what are those metal tubes then?

(I'm not surprised about the sensor actually!)
