Paint colour and code? HELP please.

Post by mmh »

Hi,

Does anyone know the correct name and colour code if possible for this Polo '98 CL.

I went to Halfords to get some paint for touching up a scuff on the bumper but they were'nt able to find the colour.

Sorry photo's not that great.

Don't buy touch up paint from Halfrauds - it's rubbish and never matches - get some ordered at you local VAG dealer - it might be a tad more expensive and you might have to wait a week for it but at least it matches

PS you can get it in spray cans too

How much do you reckon a spray can of paint will cost from a VW dealer?

Cheers Metz and Raz for the advice also.

Thanks, Mo

12 quid or thereabouts for a can of pearlescent spray and a can of laquer - it's only about 150ml in each can tho - so watch out!

not sure how much the non-metallic colours are.

my dad got a can of spray mixed up by a local motor factors, for his T5 van, and said it was spot on. you could investigate that.

I bought Candy white and it's close to old english - miles out - I've bought other colours before and they were just as rubbish - why don't I learn!!!
