warranty isnt a massive problem mate, just change em over,,i think any aftermarket wheel will void the warranty if the dealer wants to be funny, jill wilson on here has 17s lowered 40mm on her 9n and it looks sweet, but im sure someones said 18s or 19s arent too much of a ball ache either,

i can confirm that 18" will fit without problems.
however lowering will be a different story

i would imagine it would void the warrenty but keep your original set just in case

remeber though, cars look like tractors on big wheels without lowering, so if your not lowering it i wouldn't go any bigger than 15's ,or 16's at a push!

Ok,
I'm looking to buy a set of 4x 15"charade Alloy Wheels and tyres, they are off a 2006 Polo 1.9 D Sport and they've got 195 55 R15 V tyres on.
1 question.........Will these go straight on my unlowered 9n or will i have to change the tyres ?

Thank you.

they will fit no problems, with those tyres you can lower in the region of ~50mm
