I just got my 100bhp valver
and my mate has fallen in love with it so wants one too now...
he asked me the easiest way to tell if it's 100 or 75 break but i realised i didn't actually know...is it the 16v se has 75bhp and the 16v has 100bhp? or do u get 75bhp 16v's too? I confused myself lol.

Engine code on the timing belt cover
AUA is 75 and AUB is the 100 , i think.
I have a AUA 1.4 16v 75bhp.
There is chips for the 75bhp 16v im sure.

ah right cool, i thought there must be something to do with the engine code. I only knew mine was 100bhp as it is recorded in some of the vw service history

defo check the engine code is the best way to check for sure, as an owner may have stuck the 16V badge on the back themselves, or removed it for a clean look or was never there
mine is 16v se @ 75bhp also (aua)
