help needed!

Post by TERENCE »

hi,
needing some help in what type of alloys to get for my 16valver polo :?
i've narrowed it down to the "coast" or the "jagged" from euro car parts(sorry i dont know how to put pictures up here yet  )

any ideas/views?

the cars lowered 30mm so help with tyre sizes would be a bonus

sorry - the biggest modification i have ever done on any car was putting an after market gear knob on!!

thanx :)

Hi mate

Looking at the Euro Car Parts website, i prefer the JAGGED wheels as these are similar to the Polo GTi wheels, the others are ok tho !

Right they sell them as

JAGGED - 6.5 x 15, et45, 4 x 100 at £49.75 each plus VAT

part number 921777391

This is based on my car 1.4 TDi but the wheels would fit straight onto yours no probs, the et45 is the same as the Polo GTi wheels too

As for tyres, with a 30mm drop i would reccommend 195/45/15

195/50/15 would be ok but these will throw your speedo out slightly ! so if you can afford them go for the 195/45 :D

Euro usually sell these as a wheel and tyre package but i can't find a price online but Falken are £51.19 and Nankang are £32.99 each

Personally i would get something better than both of these off www.mytyres.co.uk

For example TOYO Proxes T1-S at £49.60 each
or Goodyear F1 GS-D3 at £49.50 each

If these are too expensive, the Falken ZE-512 are still cheaper from mytyres than Euro at £41.40 each incl delivery but then i would say at that price get the Fulda Exelero at £42.90

:D

Im sure all of this has confused you because its confused me

just asked euro car parts for the price with the 195/45 tyre size-they said its £435
seems to be a bit much for the tyres - works out to £50 a tyre?
does that sound ok?
