I had a race with a Civic type R in my Golf. DAMN  They are fast as f... My Golf was good for a 15.6sec 1/4 but the Civic blew my doors off!!!

What is the Accord like against the Civic???

Much quicker in a straight line but has a habit of understeering - lots of power through the front wheels doesn't help. might have been sorted for the new one though

the civic is little faster as smaller and lighter, saying that though the accord is still fast, feels like it's going to take off it's that light, the polo gti seems more heavier at high speeds but in a straight line the accord would leave it standing...time for a tt engine transplant. 8)

On the motorways Civic type R's are nothing, you can blow their doors of in a Polo TDi at motorway speeds, they don't have any torque.

Like I did last Friday 8)

BHP yes but that's no good on a motorway, is it now.

Well I know I was smirking until he banged it down 2 or 3 gears into the VTEC zone and then screamed past me, undertaking I hasten to add.

I love the sound of the VTEC but the Civic sounds nothing like the piped up more in your face growling Accord.

* I do not condone this type of driving *

Thought I'd add this before Polo2k does
